3 Day Workshops

Workshops on agro ecology are platforms to bring together academics, NGO’s, social movements, small-scale farmers and activists. Key workshop themes were Organic Farming and Sustainable Agriculture in 2005 and Agro Ecological Farming An Alternative To The Dominant Model in 2008. This workshop focused on issues such as food sovereignty and agro ecology presented by Diamantino Nomphasso of Via Campesina, Green Revolution, Agro fuels, the impact of pesticides, economic forms of resistance and GMO’s, Agro ecology methods and practices.
