Popular education

The key objectives of the political or popular education is to promote the emancipation of the oppressed, to be a catalyst for social action and to expose the rural poor to alternative ways of thinking of issues affecting society. Moreover the long-term aim is to develop articulate, confident and principled activists. Popular education is an essential part of movement building. It is also a tool used to equip the landless formations to effectively engage in the agrarian transformation process. The themes covered by the popular education includes amongst others:
